Emergency Paediatric First Aid
The IQL Level 3 Emergency Paediatric First Aid covers a wide range of CPR and first aid skills, equipping the first-aider to administer first aid to children and infants. This one-day course covers a range of CPR and first aid skills related to children, providing you with the skills to ensure a safe environment for children infants. The qualification is Ofqual accredited and valid for three years. Emergency Paediatric First Aid is six hours and can be delivered in one day or split into smaller sessions over a four week period from the start of the course. The course comprises of practical work and theoretical classroom work, as well as a practical assessment on CPR and first aid.
Paediatric First Aid
The IQL Level 3 Paediatric First Aid covers a wide range of CPR and first aid skills, equipping the first-aider to administer first aid to children and infants. Paediatric First Aid is 12 hours and can be delivered over three consecutive days or can be split into smaller sessions and delivered over a 7 week period from the start of the course. The course comprises of practical work and theoretical classroom work, as well as a practical assessment on CPR and first aid.
Combined Emergency Paediatric First Aid (EPFA) and Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)
The IQL Level 3 Combined Emergency Paediatric First Aid (EPFA) and Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course covers a range of essential CPR and first aid skills for adults and children. It equips employers and their staff with the knowledge and abilities to minimise risks and hazards in the workplace.
This one-day Combined Emergency Paediatric First Aid (EPFA) and Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course is for anyone over the age of 16 that has contact or works with both adults and children. This course combines two qualifications into one course.
The course comprises of practical work and theoretical classroom work, as well as a practical assessment on CPR and first aid.
Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Programme
AED is part of the guidelines for Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in the UK and Europe and a vital part of improving the chance of survival in cases of cardiac arrest, in some cases up to 75%. IQL offer a standalone AED course and the opportunity to add AED qualification to several of our qualification courses. The IQL Level 2 Award in Automated External Defibrillator- AED enables someone to give CPR and use an AED. The qualification is Ofqual accredited and valid for two years. The Automated External Defibrillator course is four hours and is designed to be delivered in one day. The course comprises of practical work and theoretical classroom work, including practical assessment on CPR and AED.
Anaphylaxis Training for School Staff: The 2026 Guide to Compliance & Safety
The new legislation requires all school staff including teachers, support staff, catering teams, and other employees who are present while pupils are on site to complete annual training in allergy awareness and the recognition of anaphylaxis.
This training is not limited to designated first aiders. It is intended to ensure that every member of staff can recognise the signs of a severe allergic reaction and respond appropriately in an emergency.
We offer a one-hour Anaphylaxis Awareness workshop designed specifically for schools. While this is not a regulated qualification, it provides staff with essential knowledge and practical guidance on recognising anaphylaxis, responding effectively, and understanding their responsibilities. All attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance upon completion.
